Dylan's First Hair Cut!!

Dylan's first haircut was done by Lisa Phillips at Marcra Hair Salon in Blackfoot. He thought it was SOOOOO fun! Which was nice. Much better then having him squirm or scream the whole time. He loved all of it! You can tell by the look on his face in some of the pictures.

All done!!! Doesn't he look handsome?!

YAY!!!! He did so good!

You can see in this picture, Dylan's new hand brace. I like it tons better then the other one. He got to where he was pulling the other one off all of the time. But he can't pull this one off, so it works much better.

Dylan's Learning Sign Language

Dylan is saying "Night Night" here. He usually tips his head to the side when he does it too. It is so cute! He wouldn't do it this time for some reason though.

He is always so proud of himself when he does it right.

Now he is mad because I kept trying to get him to say it and he didn't want to. Oops!

One of Dylan's favorite words to sign is "Daddy"! His other favorite is "more". It has been SO fun teaching this to him. I wish I would've have done it with ALL of my kids.

Dylan's First Birthday Celebration!!!

I made Dylan's Birthday cake this year. It's not that great but it's better then nothing. Plus it was fun!

Dylan is blowing out his candle... or should I say, "spitting" out his candle!!

Mmmmmmm, yum yum!!

Messy cake face!

Dylan loves all the attention of getting sung to!! (This was posted a little late. March 19, 2010 - Oops)

Gingerbread Houses

Grandma Becky sent the family some ginger bread houses to make for the day after Thanksgiving. She sent the houses, plus all of the goodies to go on them. We all had SO much fun making these. Even Dylan liked it. Although it didn't take long for him to start getting into everything, so he didn't help THAT much. What a FUN family tradition. I hope we can do this every year!

Harvest Break- Zoo and Horses!

This year I wanted Harvest Break to be fun for the kids! So, my friend and I took all of our kids to the zoo in Idaho Falls. Here they are acting like they are hatching from this egg. Goof balls!

Here they are all watching the baby ducklings swim in the creek. It was kind of hard for me to take the picture because I had to hold on to Dylan at the same time.

The kids thought it was cool to sit on the tiger statue!

Dylan was as happy as can be... like usual.

Me with the kids and the tiger. Proof that I was actually there, you know!

After a few days of Harvest Break my mom and I took the kids down to my Aunt Debbie's house in Park Valley, Utah. The kids had SO much fun with their cousins and they loved riding the horses. This is my cousin Emily. She took Dylan for a little ride.

He liked being up so high, can't you tell??!!

Fun at Lava Hot Springs

Dylan is sitting in line in his Bumbo! I would NEVER have a baby again without one of these things. It has been WONDERFUL!!! Since Dylan can't completely sit on his own yet, he LOVES using this thing. I love it too, because it makes him happy. Of course, the licorice helped too. It was a REALLY long line!

Dylan loves being in the water. He kicks and kicks!!!

Dylan's Therapy

Oh my gosh! Tons tons tons to catch up on. Most of you have no idea what I will be talking about because I haven't posted in forever, but I just wanted to say that Dylan's therapy session went so good today. I was so happy that I almost cried. My eyes got teary and everything. When he rolled over he actually pulled his left arm out from under him all by himself. It was so exciting!!! I kept clapping and telling him what a good job he had done and what a big boy he was. He thought that was great. He just beamed with a HUGE grin on his face every time I would do it.

The therapist is making him a hand cast for next week, that he will have to wear on his left hand every night all through the night. That way, his hand won't always stay in a fist and then the tendons won't shorten and tighten. I am glad they are doing that.

I haven't heard back from the helmet people yet. They were sending in all of his stuff for approval and the lady thinks that it will get denied because the wording that the therapist used, wasn't exactly right. If and when they get the denied notice then they will have to reword it and send it in again. I am going crazy with how long it is taking. I am worried that it will be too late to do him any good if they don't hurry up. After he is approved then they still have to fit him for one and then it takes another few weeks before they get it made. By then he will almost be 9 months old. Hopefully tomorrow, I can find out more news on that.

Well, I will try and update soon and fill in all of the details, so everyone who doesn't know what I am talking about will understand. This picture was taken on July 3rd at one of his first therapy sessions.
