The other night we were at TJ's "Pine Wood Derby" and Dylan started smiling so cute. I told Tommy to hurry and get the camera and take a picture. I had been video taping all of TJ's races so when Tommy went to take the picture we got a video instead. But hey! At least it's proof that he really does smile and it's not just GAS!!!!

Dylan's first month!
Today my cousin Becky did a photo shoot with Dylan and I. He has now been with us for one full month. He has already changed so much in that time. I can't believe how fast it has gone. I am so excited to get the pictures back that Becky did. I had been wishing that some how I'd be able to get her to take some of him, but she lives in Louisiana. Luckily for me though, she and her family came back home for a surprise trip during the Holidays. They drove the entire way with two little boys. Crazy huh? Anyway, as soon as I knew she was in town I snatched up some of her time and talents. I can't wait to see what she has come up with. As soon as I get the pictues back I will post them. Here are some of the things Dylan has done during this past month:
*Graduated from Newborn diapers to size 1 - YAY! No more leaks!
*No longer throws up his milk - which actually only happened a few times.
*Gained over 2 pounds - went from 6.10 to 8.15
*Has already learned how to cry for attention - good thing he gets so MUCH!
*Turns his head towards our voices - especially Braxton! (Probably because he is the loudest!)
*Went from hating his first bath to loving his bath time. Aawww, so warm!
*No more yellow curdled poop - now to the good old green clayish stuff.
*Got to see his birth mom and family at about 3 weeks old.
*Got his first foot zone by my teacher at 1 week old.
*Has gotten 2 face zones from his mommy!
*Pooped and peed on me once - both during the same diaper change. Yuck!
Okay, I need to tell you that story. First of all, I never EVER change his diaper with out a blanket under him. Of course, (Murphy's Law) the ONE time I did he had an accident. I had just changed a stinky one and just as I was setting the new diaper in place I could tell he had to go some more. Well, I figured it would just slowly ooze out and I would catch it with my wet one and then I'd still be able to use his new diaper.
Little did I know, that instead of oozing slowly, it was going to shoot across the room and all over my other hand and bed and etc. GROSS! So, just as I was cleaning it all off of my bed and hand, I happen to look over and see a yellow fountain spraying up from him.
Oh my gosh!!
So, I hurry and cover him up with the diaper assuming that he will finish the job and then I will get another new diaper for him. After a few seconds, I figure he would be done and I lift off the diaper. Apparently, I just plugged him up for a minute because as soon as I took the diaper off, another yellow fountain goes spraying across my bed.
Thank goodness Tommy wasn't awake!! I don't think he would have been very happy with me. Oops!!! I won't do THAT again!
Here are some more things about Dylan:
Dylan LOVES to look at the lights (which most babies do) and he also loves his Binkee. He likes to take a swing ride once in a while, but he really wishes his mom would hurry up and get him his new swing so his head would quit falling forward while he's swinging. His little red marks on his face are still there. They may be a birth mark but only time will tell. His little ear is getting more rounded out. It doesn't look like an elf ear anymore. He has smiled a few times but only at Tommy and Braxton. I'd like to say that he has smiled at his mom but it really probably was just gas! He went through only half a bag of newborn diapers before he grew out of them. He has already gone through another one and a half bags of size ones. Dylan still does not like getting lotion put on him. He is somewhat okay with getting it put on his body, but hates getting it put on his head and cheeks. He still sleeps a TON! I think that is why he is getting SO big. They say we only grow in our sleep, right? He is such a good good baby. We all just love him to pieces! It's even better that he doesn't have colic like our first two. I hope he always stays as content and mellow as he is right now. What a sweet sweet boy! You sure did a good job, Holly!!!

Holly gets to see Dylan
Holly decided that she was ready to see Dylan again, so I brought him to her house. Quite a few of her family was there too. It was neat to see them all be able to see him again. I gave Holly a foot zone while I was there. I hope she liked it! Other then Dylan leaking ALL over her while I did it. His Newborn diapers just don't seem to work. He is always leaking up his back, but the diaper is almost completely dry still. Now, how does THAT happen? GRRR! I usually have to change him 2 to 3 times a day.
This is Brittanie and Dylan. Brittanie is Holly's niece. I hope Dylan ends up being like her. She seems so content all of the time. She is SUCH a cute baby!
I had just got done telling them that I love it when Dylan falls asleep with his arms up and right when I got home, this is how he fell asleep!
With this picture, I was just having more fun playing with some editing tools. I couldn't decide which one I liked better so I decided to post them both.
Well, I am so glad that I got to take Dylan to see Holly. She seemed to do really good. Just before I left she seemed a little sad and I heard her mom tell her that she'd be able to see him again. I said, "Yeah, ya know, I live JUST down the road, so call me anytime!" We had a really nice visit, like always.
